Background information

Our organisation was formed in June 2005 as a joint venture between First Data, a global leader in e-commerce and payment services, and International Card Services (ICS), the leading Dutch card issuer. European Merchant Services continues its stable growth ever since. We are and remain a young and dynamic organisation that deals with the requirements of our clients in a flexible way.

Our focus

Initially EMS focused primarily on Visa and MasterCard transactions. Subsequently we extended our portfolio with Maestro, V PAY and American Express. Simultaneously we broadened our expertise in payment solutions from the Dutch/Belgian Point-of-Sale segment to Europe-wide E-commerce solutions.

Future growth

EMS services (e-)merchants in 13 European countries and continues to expand its scope, in the Point-of-Sale segment as well as in the online sales channels.

A dynamic organisation never rests. We are therefore continuously improving and optimizing our products, services and internal organisation.
