Accept Belgium Maestro bank card payments online!

MasterCard Europe is partnering with industry leaders to implement Maestro® for e-commerce payments in Belgium. EMS card is joining the group of first movers as acquirer of Belgium online Maestro cards. The Payment Service Providers Ogone and docdata, both partners of EMS card, are also ready to channel KBC, CBC and Centea Maestro Belgium cards transactions (740,000 home-banking customers for KBC alone). While the technical set up is ready, the communication to cardholders will start mid September. |
The Maestro® card is a bank card which is the debit card brand of MasterCard Worldwide. Maestro can be used online in the United Kingdom, in Spain, Austria and in Belgium for KBC, CBC and Centea bank cardholders. Maestro acceptance requires the use of the MasterCard® SecureCode™ protocol helping to build consumer confidence in online shopping with the virtual chip and PIN experience. Maestro is present on 312 million payment cards in Europe and 655 million payment cards in the world.
